The legislature and education funding was part of the topic on our On The Record program Sunday.
Our guest was Mississippi Association of Educators President Beverly Brahan. The mission of the association is to ensure quality public education for Mississippi's children, something Brahan says cannot be done by phasing in Adequate Funding.
"We know that especially on the coast that resources are needed now more than ever to make sure that schools are able to rebuild and families are able to return," said Brahan. "We also know that the Mississippi Adequate Education Program has already been phased in, so we're phasing in a program that's been phased in."
Brahan says legislators need to put their money where their mouth is for Mississippi's school children
