PINEVILLE, La. (AP) -- Cleco Power is sending 42 workers to Texas to help restore electricity to areas hit by Hurricane Dolly.

The workers are scheduled to leave Friday from Crowley (KROW'-lee), Louisiana, to help AEP Texas repair damage caused by the storm in San Benito, Texas.

AEP Texas says about 201,000 customers in the Rio Grande Valley and 35 percent of its customers in San Benito are currently without power. AEP Texas serves more than 900,000 customers statewide.

Meanwhile, New Orleans-based Entergy Corporation says it's subsidiaries -- Entergy New Orleans and Entergy Louisiana -- will send nearly 20 workers to San Benito, just north of Brownsville.

Entergy says AEP provided critical support to its operations in Louisiana during the 2005 hurricane season that spawned Katrina and Rita.
