Inmate Death Probe

Officials are investigating the death of an inmate at the Sumter County Jail in Livingston, Ala.
Sheriff Johnny Hatter said inmate Jeffrey Fanner of New York was found hanging in his cell Monday morning.
Fanner was still alive when he was discovered, but died on the way to the hospital.
Fanner was jailed Mar. 15 on charges of disorderly conduct and assault.
