Charges Filed in Murder Case

The investigation continues into the weekend murder of William Gill. The 23-year-old was found along Highway 496 and Highway 19 South early March 15.

Maj. Ward Calhoun of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department said formal charges were filed Tuesday, even though both suspects were taken into custody Sunday.

Jermaine Ramsey, 18, is charged with capital murder and robbery. Glen Stevens, 16, is charged with accessory after the fact to capital murder and to robbery.

Both suspects are denied bond because the charges are related to a capital crime case.
