New MSU President at Work

Dr. Robert Foglesong officially began work Monday as president of Mississippi State University. The College Board hired him last month to replace Dr. J. Charles Lee.

Foglesong comes to the university after a short stint as president and executive director of the Appalachian Leadership and Education Foundation.

Since his appointment by the College Board more than three weeks ago, he has made several trips to Starkville from his home in San Antonio, Texas.

Foglesong says he plans to immerse himself in learning everything he can about MSU before formulating short- and long-range goals for the school.
