One Suspect in Custody after Shooting in Neshoba County

Neshoba County, Mississippi One woman is in the hospital and a man is in jail after a shooting in Neshoba County.

William Donald is being charged with aggravated assault because of a shooting that took place at his house July 5th. The victim was a 74 year old female. She came to Donald's house to collect money from a cell phone bill he owed her. When the victim continued to knock on the front door, Donald shot through the door with a shotgun leaving the victim with a wound to the arm and chest.

"There was a hole through the front door where he shot through the front door. He said that someone was beating on his door and he thought they were coming to get him and he just picked up the gun and it went off," said Ralph Sciple, the chief investigator of the Neshoba County Sheriff's Department.

The name of the victim has not been released, but she is in stable condition. Donald's bond has been set at 50 thousand dollars.
