New Jobs in Winston County

A new glove that is being used by automobile manufacturers from Ford to GM is meaning new jobs in Winston County.

The gloves were designed and are being made by Choctaw Glove in Noxapater. They're promoted to be the cleanest gloves ever made.

To make the gloves, the company recently opened an expansion of its Noxapater plant, and added 25 jobs. And company officials say more could be on the way by the end of the year.

The gloves are currently being used by Nissan in its training facility in Canton. Company officials hope they will also be used when the Nissan plant officially opens its doors next year. That could mean even more jobs for the company.

Choctaw Glove currently employs 133 workers in its new plant. Company officials say that number could jump to 180 by the end of the year.
