Meridian, Miss. A teenager was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Meridian on Saturday afternoon.
Detective Dareall Thompson says a 13-year old boy was riding his bike on 19th Street about 2:00 when he ran the stop sign. That's when the car hit the teenager. Thompson tells Newscenter 11 the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Detective Thompson says it's important for bikers to follow all traffic laws.
