A shooting suspect in Clarke County remained in jail Tuesday night, a day after authorities say he shot a water meter reader.

Richard Lawson is expected to have an initial hearing Wednesday, where bond is to be set.

Lawson is accused of shooting Bobby Ray Donald Monday afternoon. Donald had come to read Lawson's water meter.

Investigators said the pair got into an argument that ended with Donald getting shot.
