Investigations are continuing into a recent pair of drive-by shootings in Meridian.

One incident occured outside of Club Mercedes in downtown Meridian and another near a residence on 39th avenue. Police believe both are linked. However, police believe two separate shooters are involved. But there are several similarities within these cases.

"Both victims are friends so we are exploring that aspect of the incidents. We have determined that we do have two separate vehicles involved and it's a coincidence that they are both white Ford Explorers," said Meridian Police Lt. James Sharpe.

Sharpe says the white Ford Explorer connected with the 39th avenue shooting has been found. Police say the owner of that truck has been contacted and is cooperating with police. Authorities do not believe that owner was involved.

No charges have been filed at this time.
