A Choctaw County, Ala., sheriff's deputy is listed in critical condition after undergoing surgery Thursday in Augusta, Ga.

Clifton Spears was burned Sunday night after answering a domestic dispute call in Lisman, Ala.

Spears suffered third degree burns to his face, chest, arms and lungs.

The alleged attacker, 53-year-old Sherry Rogers, is also listed in critical condition at University Hospital in Birmingham.
