The Mississippi Department of Transportation said Tuesday that several highways remained closed across south and central Mississippi:

The closed highways are:
* Highway 556 at Highway 98 in Franklin County - Closed due to water over the road
* Highway 51 at Lake Dixie Springs in Pike County - Closed due to water over the bridge
* Highway 24 between Liberty & Gloster, at the bridge eight (8) miles from Liberty - Closed due to flooding over both culverts
* Highway 98 and 198 in Bude in Franklin County - Closed due to water over the road

The following highways have reopened:
-- Highway 98 just west of Interstate 55 near Summit
-- U.S. Highway 90 -- Hancock County at Pearlington.
-- Highway 43/603 -- Hancock County from Interstate 10 to Highway 90
-- Interstate 59 -- Pearl River County in McNeil
-- I-59 -- Pearl River County from Highway 53 south to Louisiana state line
-- Highway 613 -- Jackson County south of I-10
-- Highway 43 -- North of Picayune in Pearl River County
-- Highway 43 -- North of Highway 11 in Pearl River County
-- Highway 556 -- Franklin County
-- Highway 552 -- Jefferson County
-- Highway 550 -- Jefferson County
-- Highway 48 -- Amite County three miles east of Centreville
-- Highway 48 -- Pike County between Highway 24 and Fernwood Road
-- Highway 48 -- Pike County from Fernwood Road to Magnolia
-- Interstate 55 -- Copiah County southbound at mile marker 48
-- I-55 -- Mile Marker 50 southbound
-- Highway 553 -- Jefferson County
-- Highway 24 -- Wilkinson County from Woodville to Fort Adams
-- Highway 43 -- Hancock County south of Firetower Road
-- Highway 33 -- Amite County
-- Highway 24 -- Wilkinson County east of Woodville
