The name of a man found dead in his Louisville, Miss., apartment this week has been released.

Winston County coroner, Scott Gregory, identified the victim as Larry Roach, 66,
of Auburn Apartments, 206 Ivy Avenue, Louisville.

Roach's body was discovered Sept.16 in his home, but Gregory said the time of death is estimated to have been 24 to 48 hours before that. He said the murder weapon was a knife or other sharp instrument.

Gregory said this is the first homicide in the city of Louisville since 2004.
