Union Murder Probe

A Union, Miss., man has been charged with murder in a woman's shooting death. Police Chief Bill Howell said Fredrick Bingham, Jr., is accused of killing Laura Rush.

Howell said his department received a 9-1-1 call just before midnight Wednesday. Officers then headed to a house on Mason Street.

Howell said that Bingham and Rush were found in the house and that a .38-caliber pistol also was recovered from the scene. Howell said that Rush suffered a gunshot wound to a shoulder and the head.
