In the past few days, gas prices have declined by six-cents per gallon nationwide.
Locally, stations that had the price at $1.64 per gallon for regular unleaded are down to $1.59 and in some locations, $1.58.
Others that listed the price at $1.59 late last week are at $1.55.
The lower prices are attributed to the decrease in the price of crude oil per barrel, plus optimism from coalition advances into Baghdad.
