At least two people are dead from an accident at the 155-mile marker eastbound on 1-20 around 3:20 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
An 18-wheeler apparently struck some vehicles stopped because of road construction.
No IDs were available on the victims.
A number of others were injured and transported to Meridian hospitals.
