The Meridian Post Office alerted local police and firefighters about a suspicious package Thursday morning.
It turned out that the box, which was mailed to a Meridian resident from Europe, contained only strudel mix.
The mix had leaked from inadequate packaging and gave off a strong odor. It initially also tested positive for an illegal drug, but additional tests all proved negative.
