Officials in Clarke County say a young man who allegedly ran the truck he was driving into a house Sunday now faces felony charges.

Clarke County Sheriff Todd Kemp said Ben Kennedy was originally reported to be a juvenile, but officials now believe him to be about 25 years old. They say he left the road in the intersection of Highways 145 and 514, and drove into a home owned by the Parker family. Officials say he then drove away before police arrived.

"Charges are pending at this time, but there is still some negotiations between the Parkers and insurance company, and the family of the individual driving the truck," said Kemp.

Kemp said Kennedy faces charges of felonious malicious mischief and felonious leaving the scene of an accident. As of late Monday afternoon, he had not been arrested.
