Bond has been set at $650,000 for 41-year-old Thurman Arrington, who is charged with murder in the shooting death of 27-year-old Shasta Smith.

The shooting happened two weeks ago during a birthday party at Smith's house.

A preliminary investigation showed an argument took place before the shooting.

Arrington's case is expected to go before a grand jury in early 2009.
