This week hasn't been typical for fourth-grade teacher Aaron Wilson.
On Thursday, the 29-year-old never dreamed he'd leave Woodley Elementary School $25,000 richer than when he arrived to teach math and science.
Principal Michelle Johnson nominated Wilson, a science and math teacher, for the Milken Family Foundation's National Educator Award. The school learned Wilson won during a surprise assembly.
In addition to the money, Wilson gets an free trip to Los Angeles for an education conference in April.
