All this week we have been profiling many of the people and places in Butler that make the community special to the people who live there and to the people who visit.

Village Jewelry and Sports, which opened over twenty years ago, started as a small pawn shop, and today is one of the biggest retailers of jewelry and sports items in the area.

Brothers Shane and Jay say they have loved turning the business their parents started into a shop Butler is known for having.

"We really appreciate the local people supporting us if they didn't support us we wouldn't be here not a chance," said Jay Jimmerson.

The store is located downtown Butler near the Town Hall.
