Meridian Public Schools' strict uniform policy was violated with great flair Monday at West Hills Elementary.

'Tacky Day' was a chance for students to show their school spirit by dressing as tacky as possible, in support of Meridian High School.

"We're supporting our Wildcats for homecoming week, because we are fans of the Meridian High Wildcats," said Katena McBride.

West Hills officials say about 70 percent of the school's students participated in 'Tacky Day'.
