Efforts continue to market buildings formerly operated by Burlington Industries in Stonewall.
Last year, over 800 employees were laid off when Burlington filed for bankruptcy.
Economic development officials toured the site with Meridian businessman Gil Carmichael Wednesday. The hope is that the
site could bought and used again as a manufacturing plant, warehouse, or some other use that would replace the lost jobs.
"It's a large facility. It's a well-built brick and mortar facility with a lot of potential," said Larry Lucas, facility manager. "It can be adapted from
an engineering standpoint to a lot of different processes."
Both sites have judt under one million square feet of space.
