As we approach the holidays, many people begin thinking about how they can help those in our community who have fallen on hard times.
One of the best ways is by assisting the Wesley House. Executive Director Ginger Stevens tells Newscenter Eleven that she is seeing many more people asking for assistance who have never visited the group before. Many of these people she says have college degrees.
"If we had to name a main commodity that is being asked for these days it's food. People are starving. We have people who are living with family members some living in a car or a van," said Ginger Stevens.
