Arrest Made in Murder

An arrest has been made in a murder in Smith County.
Donald Yelverton, 46, is charged in the shooting death of Roger Dale Ashcraft.
The shooting happened Sunday June 23 around 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store in Taylorsville.
Investigators have not determined a motive.
Bond for Yelverton was denied.
