Two Noxubee County men have been charged with holding up a National Bank of Commerce branch in Brooksville.
Noxubee County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Terry Grassaree said Dennis Scales, 24, of Macon, and Tyshon Miller, 19, of Brooksville, have been charged with the May 19 bank robbery.
Grassaree said Tuesday that authorities were alerted to the suspects when a person made a purchase from a Brooksville store. Grassaree said the money was identified as the stolen currency and then was traced back to the two suspects.
No one was injured in the holdup. Grassaree said some of the stolen money has been recovered.
The two men were being held in the Noxubee County Jail Wednesday, awaiting a bond hearing.
