Wednesday, Officials with Rush Health Systems announced a new benefit for their associates.
Many full and part-time employees are now eligible for an interest-free loan of $2,000 to apply toward the purchase of a new home.
Rush President and CEO, Wallace Strickland, said this is an effort to hold on to its quality staff and attract the most talented workers.
"This is a perfect example of private industry, the hospital, and governmental agencies working together to provide something to people that is needed," said Strickland.
The Rush Health System's employer assisted housing plan was designed by Fannie Mae, multi-county community action agency and Trustmark National Bank.
