A fire in Kemper County Tuesday morning destroyed a mobile home, and left at least one person homeless.

Lauderdale County's Collinsville and Martin volunteer fire departments assisted Kemper County units by responding to the fire on Little Zion-Calvert Road. But the structure was a total loss. No one was at home at the time.

Resident, Louise McDougle, said she had gone to the doctor. She said a neighbor called her with the bad news.

McDougle said this is the third time she has had a trailer to burn on or near this same lot.
