HOOVER, Ala. (AP) -- A Hoover man charged in the murder of a Bessemer firefighter is back in Alabama.

Hoover police said 39-year-old Randall Johnson was placed in the Hoover City Jail Monday night. Johnson was arrested Saturday in Leake County, Miss., where authorities said he fled after the slaying.

Johnson is accused in Friday's slaying of 49-year-old David Oliver in Hoover.
