A Neshoba County sheriff's deputy who was placed on administrative leave in May has returned to work.
On May 24, Deputy Grant Myers shot Danny Ray McBeath, after McBeath allegedly came at him with a knife. Myers had responded to a domestic violence call.
According to Sheriff Glen Waddell, an investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol found Deputy Myers acted in self-defense.
Placing him on leave pending the results of the probe was in keeping with department policy.
