Marion mayor Malcolm Threat has been inducted into the Mississippi Municipal League's Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame was created to honor those municipal elected mayors and others who have served their communities for twenty years or more.
"It's a great honor to be recognized by your peers as having served for all these number of years. It hasn't always been easy but it's always been a challenge," said Threatt.
Threatt was an alderman in Marion for sixteen years and has been the town's mayor for ten years.
