The U.S. Supreme Court is set to make a landmark decision concerning the pledge of allegiance.

The court agreed Tuesday to hear an appeal case whether the phrase, "One Nation Under God" is constitutional.

In doing so, it could change the routine of school age children across the country.

At issue is whether the pledge is a blending of church and state. The first amendment prevents an established religion in schools.

This particular case involves a California atheist who doesn't want his daughter to hear the pledge in school.

Michael Newdow sued his daughter's school, Congress and even President Bush to try to force removal of the phrase.
