A judge has set bond at $1 million each for three people charged with murder in the shooting death of a Laurel man. A court appearance is pending for a fourth suspect in the case.
The Chronicle reports that Douglas Santrell McGruder was shot to death near an apartment complex Nov. 7. Police say McGruder died of a gunshot wound to chest.
Police Chief Tyrone Stewart says Frankie Lee Hosey, Brittany Monique Smith and Joshua McGill, 25, of Laurel, appeared before a judge Friday.
Stewart says Terrance Roberts was arrested late Friday and is awaiting a court appearance.
McGill, Smith and Roberts have each been charged with one count each of murder. Hosey is charged as an accessory. All face additional charges.
