MPD: Traffic Stop Foils Burglary

A traffic stop early Monday for alleged speeding on Hwy. 39 North in Meridian resulted in the arrests of two burglary suspects.

Meridian police report that stolen office equipment and a small amount of money were recovered from a burglary at Blackwell Shepherd Locksmith shortly after it occurred.

Officer William Cantwell made the stop and then discovered the driver had no license.

Roy L. Nealy and Mason D. Currie, both of Dekalb, were charged with commercial burglary and possession of powder cocaine.
