PSC Holds Hearing on Power Plant Filings

The Mississippi Public Service Commission will hire two consultants as it prepares to decide the fate of a planned $2.2 billion power plant in Kemper County.

Actually David, this is a completely new technology. Do some research and I think you will see this is a good option for Mississippi. Building a plant at the source of the fuel removes the transportation cost and thus reduces to cost of generation. I like have the capacity available better than the option of turning off the power during peak times.

Why would MS Power be investing in an antiquated, high polution means of energy production in light of global warming? They should be moving progressively into the 21st century with clean enery. I just don't get it!!!
