Widespread Storm Damage Reported Near Tuscaloosa
As severe thunderstorms rumbled through the south Wednesday morning, several areas of damage have been reported with major widespread damage near Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

As severe thunderstorms rumbled through the south Wednesday morning, several areas of damage have been reported with major widespread damage near Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Reports from the National Weather Service office in Birmingham say that widespread damage has been reported across Tuscaloosa County. There are trees down and damage to homes and structures.

In Northport, a National Weather Service storm survey team says winds estimated at 70 mph were caused by the thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms also produced damage in Mississippi. While there is continuing rain falling around the viewing area, the strong and severe thunderstorms have moved out of the WTOK viewing area.
