Mississippi's jobless rate fell in July to 7.2% from June's 7.8%.

The unadjusted rate doesn't account for seasonal fluctuations.

According to the employment security commission, over 11,000 more Mississippians were working in July than in June.

In east central Mississippi, Neshoba had the lowest jobless rate. Kemper County has the highest.
