A Meridian house at 1616 22nd Avenue, in need of repair, is being upgraded by a group of high school students from Atlanta.
Chris Curtwright, project supervisor, says the teens are affiliated with the Christian organization, world changers.
"They're not paid at all. They're all volunteers," said Curtwright. "In fact all of these kids paid to come here. Each paid $250 that they either raised or paid it out of their own pockets. It's just pure satisfaction and the joy of helping others."
Curtwright says cities and houses are selected by a world changers committee. Most of the work is done in smaller communities.
