Journey of Hope 2002

After a 95-mile bike ride from Jackson, cyclists were ready for a meal and some rest. Taking part in the Journey of Hope 2002, members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity are currently biking over 4,000 miles across America to raise money and awareness on behalf of people with disabilities.

Meridian Mayor John Robert Smith proclaimed Wednesday Journey of Hope Day in Meridian.

The group has stayed in cities as large as Sacramento, Las Vegas and Phoenix. But they say the most interesting stories have taken place in some of America's smallest towns.
