Around Town Carousels Abound

The horse is named "Spirit of the Vine." It is located at Edna's Supermarket Package Store on Poplar Springs Drive in Meridian.

"It was a lot of work. I didn't realize that there was this much prep work in it doing this but it was neat watching the different layers of paint and how it came together at the end," said Teri Smith, artist.

This is the 27th horse to be unveiled. In all 37 horses will be unveiled as part of the project.

The "Around Town Carousels Abound," project is a special fundraiser for Hope Village for Children, a newly opened home for abused and neglected children in Meridian.
