A new senior citizens center is now open in Enterprise. It was celebrated Thursday with a ribboncutting ceremony.
The facility will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will offer recreation and snacks for area seniors.
"We built this strictly for our senior citizens, and it means a lot," said Mayor Larry Murray. "A lot of our senior citizens have complimented how well they like the new building. The old one was just run down. It's something new that we got in our community."
The new center was built across the street from Enterprise High School, in the same location as an older facility that was demolished.
