Fatal Accident
Lake, Mississippi One person is dead following a fatal accident near the Scott and Newton County line.

The accident happened just before 8 o'clock Sunday morning on highway 489 just north of the town of lake. 21-year-old Coty farmer of Conehatta was killed in the one-vehicle wreck.
According to investigators he lost control of the vehicle and collided into an embankment. An investigation continues into the exact cause of the crash.
