Patriotic Parade

Students at Betty Barnes Youth Center presented a patriotic parade Wednesday.

Center officials say the parade was completely organized by some of the older students who attend.

"The children down at our school age place, they wanted to do something patriotic for the nation's birthday. So, they just got this all together and they did it, every bit themselves," said Betty Barnes, Betty Barnes Preschool. "I had no idea what they were going to do until they came here with the makeup, costumes and skits."

This is the second year for the center to sponsor a Fourth of July Parade.
