Students at Livingston Junior High are learning that it really is a small world after all.
On Monday, eighth grade students competed for prizes as part of the school's annual international food fair.
Organizers say the fair is a good way to help students learn about other countries.
"It gets a lot of parent involvement and it's not just like the kids are sitting down listening to a teacher lecture all day," said teacher, George Greene. "They're getting real experience by doing the research."
"When you're taking notes and stuff, it's kind of boring but when you do stuff like this it's kind of exciting," said Bryan Johnson, a student at LJH.
The winners for the event each won a small cash prize.
