Mississippi Senator Thad Cochran, in town for the opening of the Smithsonian exhibit, shared his optimism about the future for his home state.
"I think we have a bright future," Cochran said. "We have economic challenges. We all know about them. We've got to work to improve our education system and job opportunities. But we're building a better infrastructure in our state, roads and bridges, opportunities for businesses to come in and locate in a modern town like meridian. This
Is a good example of the future of Mississippi."
