New Dean

Dr. Habib Bazyari has been named the new Dean of the School of Business for the University of West Alabama. Earlier this year he retired from Mississippi State University's Meridian campus.

In his new position, Dr. Bazyari says he hopes to establish an information technology program at UWA.

"This program is needed at UWA because technology, especially information technology, is so significant. Everybody needs people that are specialized in information technology and bringing that should provide students an excellent opportunity to find excellent jobs in that area," Dr. Bazyari said.

Dr. Bazyari says he hopes to have the new program up and running within the next year.
