Students Study Job Market

With such a competitive job market these days, some southeast high school students had the opportunity to get a head start.

At its annual career day Thursday, more than twenty colleges and universities and over thirty professions
Were represented.

Organizers said it was a success.

"This is an opportunity for the students in 9th through 12th grade to explore some of the careers they may be interested in. Several area businesses have come to bring information about businesses and schools and the kids get to go and ask questions. We try to make it an interactive thing."

And this year, for the first time, freshmen and sophomores were also allowed to attend.
