A Clarke County man has been charged with possession of child pornography.

Attorney General Jim Hood announced Wednesday that 30-year-old Michael Knight of Stonewall was arrested last week in New York state.

Knight has been brought back and booked at the Clarke County Jail.

Hood said that through the investigation, authorities were able to identify and rescue the child who they say was being exploited.

Knight faces up to forty years in jail if convicted.
