Magnolia Caring for Others

Students from Magnolia Middle School are in the giving mood. They presented Wesley House Executive Director Nell Grissom with a check for $300.00.

The money was raised during the school's first annual "Caring Coins" coin drive.

"For two weeks we walked around with piggy banks from our student council and they collected coins from all of our students during lunch and before school. And together with the staff and the students we raised $300," said Suzy Sims, sponsor of Magnolia Middle School's student council.

School officials say the event was created by students to help those less fortunate during the holidays.
