Meridian's latest carousel horse was unveiled at 6th Street and 20th Avenue. This one is called "The Carriage Horse."
"From the first time I saw one go up, I thought about how I would do it," said artist Beth Lewis. "I wanted to do it black with a lot of color, a more traditional carousel look, and it just kind of worked itself out. And as I started working, it just became that way."
It's a part of the Around Town Carousels Abound art program.
The Carriage Horse is sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. I.C. Walker, Jr.
